Roberto Leoni, DO, is an osteopathic family medicine physician at Islamorada Medical Center in Tavernier and Marathon, Florida. He has more than five years of experience and specializes in endotracheal intubation, catheter placement, wound care, biopsies, joint injections, osteopathic manipulation, naturopathic care, and women’s health care.
After earning a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr. Leoni received his master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Barry University in Hollywood, Florida. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.
Dr. Leoni finished his medical training with family medicine residencies at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus in Hialeah, Florida, and at AdventHealth/Florida Hospital East Orlando in Orlando, Florida.
He’s received many academic honors and awards, including the Kenneth Burnell, PhD, Student Research award, and the Florida Merit Scholarship, and he has published and presented numerous research studies.
Dr. Leoni holds an osteopathic medical license in the state of Florida and is affiliated with various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
He’s fluent in English, conversational in Spanish, and knows the basics of the Hebrew language. Outside of the office, Dr. Leoni enjoys electrical engineering, machine shop work, building scientific equipment, physics, and analytical chemistry.
He welcomes new and existing patients to Islamorada Medical Center and enjoys improving their health and wellness.
